Both surfing and yoga represent a unique lifestyle.
The practitioner in both practices, connects with very powerful sources of energy, often experiencing expansion and well-being.
As it is so pleasurable, it becomes very tempting (not to say addictive) to return to this feeling.
It is very often why surfers are known to continually think about waves, and yogis have their daily routine practice of stretching or meditation.
At our surf school, we believe that are better world is related to people being more connected with themselves with people around them that, to our point of view.
This can easily happen by connecting with nature and its elements for example:
- as when we are surfing floating on deep and crystal clear water
- breathing in the pure air of the ocean breeze,
- feeling the refreshing wind on the face,
- feeling the sun warming the skin,
- walking barefoot in the sand,
- listening to and watching the animals around us
This connection takes us from our so frequently excess of stimuli, thoughts and responsibilities, inwards into a very special and comforting place.

Our Yoga team has 4 certified and experienced yoga teachers from different traditions .
Such as Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Iyenger Yoga and Kundalini Yoga.
Depending on the teachers and the specific context.
Whether it is regular classes, occasional classes, retreats, individual or group classes.
You can expect the yoga practice to move from being more technical and corrective, to more meditative or even more emotional and therapeutic.
We believe that because of the vast resource of available techniques, yoga has evolved in different directions.
Depending on what people wanted in different places, generations and geographical locations. So there is a wide range, but always with a common genesis among all.
At different times in life, you may need certain yoga techniques that can prepare you for intense sports training, to deal with the pressures and stresses of work, emotional release, expansion of consciousness, all of which are valuable and complementary.
Yoga lessons duration
On average, a yoga class lasts 90 minutes.
But we also offer 60 and 120-minute classes depending on the characteristics of the participants.
Yoga lesson location
Our Yoga lessons take place in Aljezur, Lagoa and Portimão.
We offer both indoor yoga classes and outdoor yoga classes in nature.
The yoga classes take place daily for individual classes and on specific days for group classes.
Yoga lessons schedule
The most common times are in the early morning and at the end of the day, after work and before dinner. These are also the most auspicious times for practice, with the energy of the day beginning or ending and in harmony with the cycles of nature, the sun and the moon.
From Monday to Friday we have yoga classes in the municipality of Lagoa after working hours.
On Thursdays, we have Yoga classes in Aljezur from 09:30 to 11:00.
From April to October we have daily morning Yoga classes in Lagoa from 08:00 to 09:00.
One of the best things about yoga is that all participants, regardless of previous experience, will always be at their ideal personal level, which means that the practice can be just as effective for the beginner as it is for the long-time yogi.
Most important is respecting the teacher’s instructions, an open mind and heart, and trusting the process.
However, for specific health conditions, physical limitations or even a specific goal, we recommend private classes that allow the teacher to plan a personalised set for your condition.
