International Sun Day

The International Sun Day was created to highlight the importance of this star for life on Earth.

This day emerged from an initiative of the United Nations Environment Program. In partnership with NASA, to honor and present curiosities about the “Star-King” to people.

As the sun is our main source of life, it is important to alert to the importance of renewable energies. In order to raise awareness of society for a more sustainable future, helping the balance of the planet.

Although there are other sources of energy such as natural gases, oil and coal, all these minerals exist thanks to the capture and storage of solar energy by plants, algae and some animals, for hundreds of thousands of years.

This energy is captured by the beings that feed on the producers and, later, is passed on to secondary consumers and so on throughout the food chain.

International Sun Day

In addition to providing energy, the Sun plays another very important role, which is its participation in the water cycle.

The Sun provides enough heat for water to evaporate and living things to transpire. Actively acting in the formation of clouds and, consequently, in the rainfall regime.

In addition to important ecological and economic functions, the Sun also plays an essential role in the survival of human beings.

It is through sun exposure, for example, that we are able to produce vitamin D, a substance that strengthens our bones and acts on our immune system.

Knowing that even in the water they are not protected, surfers have very careful beauty routines when it comes to beach life.

It is important to think about the health care to have in the face of sun exposure.

At Future Eco Surf School we take this protection seriously. For this, we always have our sunscreen, glasses and cap with us to avoid unpleasant surprises.

The Sun can be your best enemy(friend)!
